IINET's (un)speed connection manager

Why oh why IINET, would I want ADSL1 speed from my ADSL2+ account? At some stage IINET made the Speed Connection Manager available from the toolbox but made the default "Safe ADSL1 Speed up to 8,000kbps". If I wanted to be teleported back to 2005 for even slower (un)broadband, let me know the option is there but for god's sake on the "broadband2 plus" plan make the default the base ADSL2 speed.
